I saw the panel associated with the Sanimarin 31 and mistakenly thought the new head had a bidet.

Such a great read! Glad to know Roam will be in tip-top-shape for the coming voyages.

This is a very insightful comment. Bidets on marine toilets are a big improvement as marine sanitation systems are notoriously intolerant of any foreign matter that is flushed through them.

Our old vacuflush toilet had a "personal sprayer" installed (aka "the bum gun"). These new toilets do not. But that is an upgrade we are considering adding! And, one of these marine sanitation manufacturers would be well-served to invent and include an integrated bidet in one of their offerings. I'd buy it.

Indeed, tbh, I was a little worried about Richard's voyage but after reading all the analysis and preparation you put into the endeavor, I was reassured. Godspeed on your next adventure!

What happened with the anchor chain? What kind is it?

A few links in the middle were compromised. The manufacturer agreed to replace the entire chain under warranty. I’ll write more about it once everything is settled. It’s 318LN duplex 10mm chain.
