Naqara Bay, Ono Island
The outgoing tide can leave your dinghy stranded if you aren’t thoughtful about where you leave it and how long you’ll be ashore.

All is well. We are now anchored in Naqara Bay, Ono Island, Fiji. We sailed overnight in an 8-12 knot S-SE breeze with low, confused seas. We ran the main and code 65 with a reef in the main during the night. The wind pooped out a few miles from the pass through the reef, and we motored in.

We arrived to find our friends on the Catana 47, Hudson already at anchor. Also, sister ship Machiavel is nearby.

We went into the village for sevusevu with the chief. It is a wonderful little village with of friendly kids.

We will be here for a few days to dive the famous Astrolabe reef.
