All is well. We are presently anchored in Cuvu Harbour in a steady light rain sitting out a nasty frontal system coming through tonight. Fiji’s National Disaster Risk Management Office has issued an advisory for heavy rains in the islands (flash flooding risks).
We broad reached along the Coral Coast of Viti Levu in a dying northeasterly before firing up the starboard engine. Full main, Code65, daggers up. Slight sea, sunny followed by a heavy overcast.
Cuvu is home to the Shangri-La resort (who refused our request to come in for dinner) and the town of Voua for which there isn’t a chief requiring sevusevu (we’ve been told).
This is a brief overnight on our way to Vuda. We will be there on Thursday.
